The Groom

Ohhhhh Nicholas....
This is Nick! He is an amazing guy, very hard working and honest. He is a black belt in judo and juijitsu. He is a trainer at Crossfit Marin and he teaches judo to kids in Napa. I have never met anyone who loves their work more than he loves what he does. He likes to play games on the computer and does not really like watching TV. His idea of perfect day is probably, hiking (with me of course) outdoors eating lunch and than getting Ice Cream on the way home. That is Nick in a nutshell.

My relationship with Nick, it is hard to explain a relationship that just works. Everyday I learn something new from Nick, whether it be about a video game, workout, judo move or something so random I can't even think of it right now. We are like Peanut Butter and Jelly! Or something not so cliche... We like to have fun and laugh a lot. He is the kind of guy that when I have a bad day at work, he will have a piece of my favorite chocolate cake with raspberries on top and some flowers! Or when I am driving home from work and think, "Man, I don't want to do the dishes that were left in the sink from last night," he has done them by the time I get home.

Over the last few years we have grown a lot as individuals and as a couple. In the past five years we have lived in six apartments and three cities, we've changed jobs multiple times, and had multiple jobs at the same time. Nick graduated Police Academy, we have each had chicken pox, and for the majority of those five years we have had work and class schedules that were opposite from each others. We have learned a lot about ourselves, as well as each other, and how we tackle stress and communicate when we are not able to see each other everyday. But most of all during the past five years we have enjoyed being around each other and working together.

Nick can always make me smile! When I am around him I feel good about myself and the world around me. I hope this gives you a little insight into who this dude I am marrying is! He is amazing!
